Getting here: The Oxford train station is about a fifteen minute walk from the centre of the city. Trains arrive from London, the south and north and north west. National Express, Oxford Tube, airport and local buses all arrive at the Oxford bus station, located at Gloucester Green in the centre of the city. Parking in the city is extremely limited and not recommended. If you are driving, we recommend parking outside the city and using a park and ride bus service.
Where to stay: For accommodation, we recommend using the University Rooms booking site to find affordable and centrally-located rooms in Oxford.
The first half of our conference will take place at The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities (TORCH) in the Radcliffe Observatory Building, Woodstock Road, OX2 6GG. Please arrive on time for registration between 8:30 and 8:55 because the doors require Oxford University cardholder access and we will be manning the doors at this time. Please let us know in advance if you know you will be later than 9:00 and we will arrange to have someone let you into the building.
After the afternoon roundtable, we will take a 20 minute walk to Wolfson College, Oxford on Linton Road, OX2 6UD where our afternoon keynote, wine reception and optional conference dinner will be held. If you have mobility requirements, do get in touch with us and we will do our best to arrange transport from TORCH to Wolfson.
Conference dinner: The optional Gourmet BBQ dinner on the grounds of Wolfson College by the river has limited spaces. Select the appropriate ticket when registering (here) if you would like to attend the dinner. Please note dinner tickets are non-refundable.
